Experienced Auditor

Immediate opening for experienced audit professional with Santa Fe public accounting firm. CPA licensed preferred or Accounting degree, including 150 credit hours and eligible to sit for the New Mexico CPA exam. Four years directly related work experience in auditing. Our Audit Department offers exciting interaction in client relations and very limited travel. Individual should be a self-motivator and be able to take responsibility for various audit engagements. Individual should have good communication skills and be capable of supervising various team members. Senior Audit Manager

The Senior Audit Manager will have full charge of the firm’s audit department, reporting directly to the Managing Principal. The candidate must be a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the audit field. Experience auditing governmental agencies, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations is preferred, but not required.

The candidate will be required to:

  1. Prepare time and financial budgets for all audit proposals and contracts.
  2. Assign personnel and schedule field work.
  3. Supervise all engagements.
  4. Monitor time budgets.
  5. Review all workpapers and completed audit reports for compliance with firm standards.
  6. Resolve all problems before submitting the report for final principal review.
  7. Track all third-party and client imposed due dates.
  8. Communicate firm policies and technical information to audit personnel through individual or group meetings.
  9. Motivate and assist audit personnel in professional and service development.
  10. Represent the firm in professional and service development.
  11. Express him/herself clearly in written and verbal communications.
  12. Communicate with audit clients.
  13. Show good judgment and good business sense.
  14. Assist Principals and Senior Managers with practice development and practice management.
