Barraclough & Associates, P.C., Certified Public Accountants and Consultants was founded in 1985 by John E. Barraclough, Jr. and is now the largest accounting firm in northern New Mexico.
Our professional staff consists entirely of Certified Public Accountants and individuals who have obtained Bachelors degrees from recognized universities.
We are a member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This means, among other things, that our firm satisfactorily completes a tri-annual peer review of our practice to ensure you the highest quality service.
Principals
John E. Barraclough, Jr. is Managing Principal and a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of New Mexico. He is a member of the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1971, where he served on the board, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. John obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from New Mexico State University in 1966. He is strongly committed to community service and demonstrates this with a variety of activities including being a founding member and board member of the Rotary del Centro in Santa Fe. In 1997 John was awarded the designation "Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting" which allows him to testify as an expert witness in various accounting related cases.
Annette Vigil Hayden is a principal with Barraclough & Associates, P.C. Annette is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the State of New Mexico and a member of both the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received her Bachelor of Accountancy from New Mexico State University in 1986 and has extensive expertise in the areas of income tax planning and preparation.
Sandra Shell, CPA, CVA is also a principal with Barraclough & Associates, P.C. and has over nineteen years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. She moved to New Mexico from Florida in 1996 and became a tax manager with Daymon & Associates, CPA's and became a principal of the firm in 2000. When the firm joined Barraclough & Associates, P.C. on June 1, 2001, she became a principal of that firm, responsible for business valuations, tax matters and consulting services. Sandra is active in the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). At the New Mexico Society of CPA's, she served on the Business Valuation Roundtable. She is currently a member of the Conference Committee for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and is the President of the New Mexico Chapter of NACVA.
In addition to the principals at Barraclough & Associates, P.C. there are many more highly qualified individuals, most of whom are Certified Public Accountants.
